Mary Cordaro is a healthy/green building and environmental consultant, since 1989. She works by phone and on site, providing specific, healthy building and interior materials options for existing home, remodels and new construction. Mary's clients include families with children, the chemically sensitive, those with allergies and asthma, and those who are healthy, wanting to take proactive steps toward creating health supportive homes and workplaces. Mary also helps clients who are concerned about or sensitive to conventional buildings and interiors by providing resources for diagnosing and solving environmental home problems. Her integrated approach is unique, synthesizing the fields of Bau-Biologie, Building Science, and green building with an overlay of the low consumption, ecological lifestyle. Cordaro directs a team of specialists who work together to test for and solve contaminant problems in the homes, including chemicals, electromagnetic fields, mold and energy conservation. She consults to homeowners, architects, interior designers and contractors on healthy (and not just green) new construction and remodels. She is a frequent conference lecturer and teacher and her audiences include homeowners, physicians, architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners.
