Andrea is the founder and Managing Partner of Everyday Green, a residential building science and third-party verification firm in Washington, DC. Everyday Green's work focuses on translating common building failures into proactive design strategies for better-performing buildings. Andrea and her team bridge the divide between design and construction teams with hands on air sealing techniques, envelope commissioning, proper design and installation of HVAC systems and performance testing. Andrea's experience stems from providing consulting and verification services for over 1,200 residential units including LEED Homes Mid-Rise, multi-family, gut rehab, and production projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Andrea has served as a subject matter expert for GBCI and USGBC as an exam writer and course reviewer for LEED Homes accreditation and educational tracks. She is a member of the Historic Mt. Pleasant Board and is working on the renovation of her own historic home in Washington, DC to meet LEED Platinum certification.
