Davis Energy Group is a nationally recognized energy consultancy that provides cutting-edge and visionary solutions to sustainable and applied technologies, systems, and strategies for the housing and commercial building market. Founded in Davis, California, in 1981, Davis Energy Group (DEG) provides a range of services including energy simulations and building energy monitoring, assessments on emerging technologies, and development of energy standards. DEG also manages several energy upgrade whole neighborhood programs throughout the state and provides green rating services for LEED for Homes , GreenPoint Rated, and Enterprise Communities. Clients include architects, project developers and builders, utilities, national laboratories, and government energy offices. DEG has a lead role in two important energy and sustainability programs, heading the Department of Energy Building America program as the ARBI (Alliance for Residential Building Innovation) team and as a Provider in the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED for Homes program. Qualifications
Since 1981, DEG has built a reputation as a leading innovator of cooling and heating technology for residential, commercial, and institutional applications. Clients turn to us for practical solutions to building comfort and energy efficiency challenges. Our work encompasses efficient cooling, heating, and building systems, including system analysis, simulations and technology transfer. We often serve as both a bridge and a filter for emerging technologies, moving between the ideals of theory and the realities of application. With an expansive array of public and private sector clients and experience covering multiple disciplines, we offer the resources to handle a wide variety of projects. We are also a Provider for the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED for Homes program. LEED rtification recognizes and rewards builders for meeting the highest performance standards, and gives homeowners confidence that their home is durable, healthy, and environmentally friendly. As of December 2011 we have facilitated the certification of 2,062 units in California and Nevada. DEG was selected as one of the 12 original Providers for the LEED for Homes program in 2005. Since that time, DEG has been a leader in certification of projects including the first Platinum house in the nation. DEG is also instrumental in the development of the LEED for Homes program for the California Market.
