GWU guide helps you choose climate change mitigation actions

The George Washington University online Master's of Public Health program has launched a new tool to help people understand ways that individuals can fight climate change.
Climate change can seem like an overwhelming issue—but all of us making changes together, big and small, can mitigate its effects. The guide "Realistic Ways You Can Combat Climate Change, Today" offers a clear, interactive approach to answering the question "But what can just one person do?"
Whatever your budget, lifestyle or time constraints, there are many decisions you can make that will reduce the impact of global warming. This new guide shares effective ways to help the planet in your daily life.
Using sliders to filter how much time, money and effort you have available, you can find suggestions for ways to contribute.

Each suggestion provides a quick summary next to a relevant statistic. From the intuitively water-saving "take shorter showers" to the transportation-focused "bundle online purchases," each tip provides an action that you can take to make a real difference.

Finally, the About section of the site shares more in-depth information on climate change, as well as a list of dozens of lifestyle habits to get you thinking about changes you might make to help the environment.
