I strongly recommend engineered flooring. I'm aware there can be some bad product out there case in point Lumber Liquidaters. Its important to try and find floors made here in the USA as our laws do allow the use of formaldehyde in the plywood that is usually the base for engineered floors. My main concern with the sand on site flooring is the finish, its just not as hard as the aluminum oxide finish of most engineered floor. to many choices to recommend. Like chooseing your contractor, do your homework on the floor you choose.
