PLease Help

Asked by Darla Dunn

We have had a pool 20 years . 15 years ago we stained the concrete around pool. 2 years ago , I went to get new stain, the specialist told me that I needed a solvent based solid colored sealer. I got 5 gallons and put it down. VERY BIG mistake. As soon as it got wet, it was as slippery as walking on ice. I fell and so did everybody else that walked out there. We closed the pool. now wanting to fix this issue Just not sure how. Can you Guide me please.

start by etching the concrete with muratic acid. this should remove a lot of the sealer and etch the top layer of cement leaving some exposed aggregate so as to stop all of the slipping. Then look into a new finish. check out Kool Crete
