Jennifer Davidson became a LEED AP for New Construction in 2009, after encountering a sustainable design concepts and overview course during the pursuit of her Master's degree in Interior Architecture and Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Jennifer went on to become a contributing editor at www.Furnicology.com , a sustainable furnishings website aimed at consumers and designers alike, where she writes news articles, contributes to a shared blog and edits the monthly newsletter, as well as conducting video interviews with green businesses. Expected graduation is in 2012, with a key element of her Master's thesis being LEED principles utilized in the development of a commercial entertainment center for downtown San Francisco. Jennifer intends to focus on sustainable interior design and indoor air quality after graduation, and utilize the transferable skills she has gathered during her 17 years as an office administrator, consultative salesperson, marketing and promotions specialist and project manager, prior to becoming a sustainable designer of interior spaces loved by people and planet.
