Andy Ault is the owner of Maryland based Little River Carpentry, LLC which specializes in sustainable, residential remodeling spanning from targeted energy retro-fits to multi-story additions. Their work has been nationally recognized with multiple remodeling & design awards, as well as featured in over a dozen publications including Better Homes & Gardens Remodel Magazine, and Home & Design. Starting with his first design firm in Richmond, Virginia in 1989, Andy has been involved with existing residential design and retrofits for over two decades.

He is trained as a Certified Lead Carpenter, a Universal Design Certified Remodeler, and an OSHA Construction-Industry Safety instructor. He is a member of the
U. S. Green Building Council and serves on their Government Affairs committee in Maryland. In 2009 Andy was part of a select group of 25 design and construction professionals chosen from across the country to help the U.S.G.B.C. develop their new REGREEN Residential Remodeling training program. He has also been trained on the ICC-700 National Green Building Standard.

Andy is an Instructor for the Green Building Institute and a Red Hat crew leader and trainer for Habitat for Humanity. As an author, he publishes articles and columns on sustainable remodeling for multiple web sites, newsletters, and news papers. He has also developed customized training curriculums for non-profits such as Rebuilding Together and Habitat for Humanity. In 2010 Andy was an invited speaker for the Greenbuild Residential Summit Master Series in Chicago.

He is passionate about implementing common-sense, Real World sustainable building practices and enjoys helping others learn how they can do the same.
