Services

We specialize in installing geothermal heating, cooling, and hot water systems in high efficiency and custom homes. Installing over 800 systems since 1992 has made us the most experienced residential geothermal company in East TN. We service all makes and models of geothermal systems. Having a geothermal heat pump system in your home is the equivalent of taking 2 cars off the road or planting 750 trees.

Experience

We installed geothermal horizontal loops, ductwork, and heat pumps for the ZEBRA Alliance research homes in Oak Ridge. We worked with TVA on numerous residential energy efficiency projects in the 90's.

Qualifications

The owner Roy Smith and project manager Mark Chadwell have 18 years experience each designing and installing geothermal heat pump systems. They have completed extra WaterFurnace training and showed the performance for the business to be designated a GeoPro dealership.
The head of the loop crew is International Ground Source Heat Pump (IGSPA) certified to install geothermal loops.
Our duct installation subcontractor is the 3rd generation in his family's trade. He is able to install zoned sheet metal duct systems in custom homes without using flex to get through all the odd angles and specialized construction.
Ken Wilson has completed HERS and Zero Energy Housing Certification training. He uses Manual J Version 8 to properly size sytems in high efficiency homes using some of the latest construction methods and materials.

We already do!

It is called GeoExchange and geothermal or ground source heat pumps (and many other names).
The world’s largest thermal storage is the Earth itself. The Earth generates heat from within and absorbs 46% of the solar radiation that falls upon it for winter.
Mother Nature is kind enough to expel some of this heat so that the soil or water is a great cool heat sink in the summer.
We already tap into this energy storage in all 50 states and all over the world. We just aren’t doing it enough.
These systems can meet all the criteria above and more. They have some of most even temperatures and best comfort of any HVAC system. The equipment dehumidifies better and doesn’t have any noisy outside unit like other systems. They are a great investment with long warranties and life expectancies. This is the best kept secret solution to our future.
