Services
Lensis Builders Inc. handles the necessary work to make our client's homes more comfortable, economical to operate, and healthy by doing home air sealing, insulation, HVAC duct repairs and insulation, window and door caulking, and new window installation. We provide in home "green consulting" to our clients. We are an Energy Star partner, and provide third party verification, certification, and labeling to new home builders. We are an EPA Indoor airPLUS partner, and and provide third party verification, certification, and labeling to new home builders. We have a LEED for Homes Green Rater (in training) on staff, and can do LEED for Homes verifications..
Experience
We have worked on several new homes projects - providing Energy Star certifications for new home builders in the Northern Virginia area. We completed a Energy Star gut-rehab project in Fairfax County Virginia. We have conducted numerous Home Energy Audits, and provided HERS ratings for Energy Efficient Mortgages. We have done many retro-fit home air sealing projects. We have a Certified BPI Building Analyst and Envelope Specialist on staff, as well as a Level 1 Certified Thermographer on staff.
Qualifications
Energy Masters of Virginia has on staff a Certified HERS Rater #051-083, a LEED for Homes Green Rater (in training), a LEED Green Associate, a BPI Building Analyst, a BPI Envelope Specialist, and a Certified Level 1 Thermographer. We are an Energy Star Partner, EPA Indoor airPLUS partner, and a Certified EarthCraft Builder, and can do third party verifications and ratings for all three as well as LEED for Homes.
Lensis Builders Inc. added our subsidiary - Energy Masters of Virginia, LLC to transform the mainstream residential remodeling and new construction market into a high performance homes standard. Many of the green buildings technologies in use today have been in use on our job sites for years - and we feel strongly about continuing to improve the way we remodel and build new homes.
