Leadership in Energy Efficient Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP ID&C)
Nirmada Interior Architectural and Design was founded by Kati Curtis in 2004. Nirmada's portfolio includes everything from a million square foot medical facility in Los Angeles to a New York City studio apartment. Kati's projects have received nationwide recognition including the International Interior Design Association's Silver Award in 2002 and the Army Corps of Engineers Design award for an adaptive reuse and preservation of the National War College in Washington DC, which had originally been designed by the McKim, Meade and White in 1908.
Nirmada Interior Architecture and Design's principal Kati Curtis is a LEED Accredited Professional who's been incorporating sustainability into her practice since it's inception in 2004. Prior to opening NIrmada, Kati worked for SmithGroup in San Francisco,CA where LEED guidelines were being incorporated into projects as early as 1999. We recently completed a green kitchen renovation on New York's Upper West Side, where we used cabinets made from urea-formaldehyde free particle board and FSC certified veneers. The cabinets were then finished with a low-VOC acrylic based lacquer.
