DIG Cooperative Inc. is a worker-owned general contractor specializing in ecological design/ build projects including rainwater catchment systems for irrigation and indoor plumbing , greywater systems, water conservation retrofits, flood mitigation & storm water management, living roofs, aquaponics, composting toilets, constructed wetlands, edible and drought tolerant landscapes, rain gardens and earthworks/ bio-swales. We have worked on residential as well as commercial and public projects. We offer consultation, design and build services and work with architects, home-owner/ builders and contractors to provide the best possible solutions to water catchment, reuse & recycling, conservation storm water bio-remediation and flood issues.

Experience

DIG Cooperative Inc. has pioneered several permitted rainwater catchment systems and greywater systems in the cities of Berkeley, Oakland, Piedmont, Lafayette, Marin and San Francisco. Our most recent accomplishment has been designing and building a LEED Platinum project involving greywater to constructed wetland to drip irrigation system and rainwater to indoor plumbing system with 100% storm water management on site at a residence in the City of Piedmont, California.

DIG Cooperative Inc. has owners who have completed certificates from the American Rainwater Catchment Systems Association, the EPA Remodeling, Repair and Painting Certificate, International Academy of Permaculture and Alameda County Bay Friendly Gardeners.
