The Wm. H. Fry Construction Company, a licensed general contractor, founded by Bill Fry, is a home remodeling contractor and custom home builder in the San Francisco Bay Area. Bill Fry offers informed choices toward a healthy, energy-efficient and resource-efficient home. With Bill’s knowledge and expertise, clients can choose greener options for their home building or home remodeling project to obtain the long-term financial, health, and environmental benefits of building green. We also offer a range of choices for greener custom cabinets (particularly formaldehyde-free materials) through our partners, who build to our specifications, and our own custom cabinetry shop.

Most of our projects these days have some sort of green component. As more cities introduce green requirements, Bill Fry, a Certified Green Building Professional through Build It Green, can help navigate your home improvement project through green building codes. Bill teamed up with RECLAIM - healthy green home of Menlo Park (and author of The Green Home, published by Sunset) on a very green Palo Alto home remodel, which exceeded the city’s green building checklist. Our company was also selected to participate in the development of the green building codes in our home town.

Bill Fry, is a Certified Green Building Professional through Build It Green who continues his education through seminars, research, and his own clients. The company is a member of the Columbia Forest Products: PureBond Fabricators Network, a manufacturer of formaldehyde-free building products. Bill Fry is RRP EPA-certified to renovate homes built prior to 1978.

Our goal is to promote green building by providing information to our clients through meetings and our expanding website. Our involvement in green building began through our clients' desires for a greener home from architectural design, to green building material and product selection, to green building practices, to final clean-up.
