Beaux Art Green is an interior design firm specializing in usage of healthy and sustainable building practices and material selection for their clients. We look to educate the industry and public when possible to encourage environmentally friendly design choices. We also offer LEED consulting for CI and/or assistance with LEED for Homes certification.
Beaux Art Green seeks to advise on healthy material selections for every client but this last year saw the most open minded home owners yet. We were able to specify low or no VOC paint for exterior and interior use, especially to our clients with small children. We are currently involved in a 4000+ sq ft residential interior design project in Mountainside NJ where the clients want no VOC paint and finishes specified as well as new carpets and furniture. They are specifically interested in reusing dated furnishings by reupholstering and refinishing them. We have also partnered with Potential Energies LLC for a remodel of 4 bathrooms in a residence outside of Princeton NJ. We are currently completing a residential remodel of an apartment in 2 River Terrace, The Riverhouse, a LEED Gold building in Battery Park City NYC. This is an especially sensitive client due to his health and allergy issues. Also, we begin interior design specifications this month on a LEED for Homes custom residence in Chester NJ by VertHaus builders. Additional past and current projects include LEED consulting with Sustainable Systems LLC on the first pilot retail project in NJ Birdsall Bath Design showroom, Ricoh corporate headquarters and Dieci Lifestyle Spa in Livingston NJ which has just begun.
Brooke Morales, Allied ASID, LEED AP ID+C started her career with interior design and business development experience in the NJ and NY A&D community and specifically focused experience over the past 5 years on sustainable building and design practices. She has experience sourcing and selecting sustainable interior and exterior building materials for commercial and residential specifications. As an interior designer and consultant, she presents space plan, design and material options for interior and exterior furniture, millwork, finishes and other design implementations. Ms. Morales is a LEED Accredited Professional in Interior Design & Construction and has consulted on retail, commercial and residential LEED building projects. She presents USGBC and AIA continuing education units (ceu’s) in Indoor Air Quality as well as other related educational information to architects, designers and contractors. She is a representative of the USGBC NJ Chapter at their exhibit booth space at events across NJ. Ms. Morales also represents Community Green NJ as an event organizer bringing topics of environmental interest to locations around NJ.
Our Mission is to encourage and implement the use of sustainable design and building practices to ensure a healthy future for the next generation. We specialize in the usage of healthy and sustainable product selections which are available options for most applications today.
In 2007 Brooke Morales joined Beaux Art Interior Design and wanted to give the firm a new niche and promote healthy indoor air quality. Brooke and Ivy Tabor changed the name to Beaux Art Green, joined the NJ Chapter of USGBC and began studying for the LEED AP exam. The last 4 years have been an educational experience as we've seen green design grow in popularity and public interest, but there is still a long way to go. We've committed to educating our clients and the design industry as much as possible on green washing and cutting through the marketing messages from suppliers. Among other projects, we are completing a residential remodel of an apartment in 2 River Terrace, The Riverhouse, a LEED Gold building in Battery Park City NYC. We begin interior design specifications this month on a LEED for Homes custom residence in Chester NJ by VertHaus builders.
