Service Area: Our work is primarily based in Utah, however we have designed residential and commercial projects as far as New York and Hawaii, and many places in between.


AMD Architecture specializes in environmentally responsible designs that create healthy, comfortable buildings that are in harmony with the environment. We provide complete architectural services including programming, site planning, design, contract documents and construction administration. In addition we offer sustainable design consultation services, LEED administration, and energy modeling.


Our expertise encompasses high levels of energy efficiency, passive and active solar design, renewable and healthy building materials, and alternative construction techniques. We have incorporated renewable energy systems in many of our projects including on and off grid building integrated PV, solar thermal space and DHW heating, and ground source heat pump systems. We are well versed in alternative building methods such as straw bale, ICF, SIP's, and advanced framing techniques.


Our principal, Angela Dean, has been a licensed architect since 1996 and a LEED Accredited professional since 2001. 100% of our employees are LEED Accredited.

AMD Architecture was founded in 1997 with the goal of providing quality architecture that is equally responsible to her clients and the greater environment. 100% of our work, regardless of the type or size, is sustainably designed. Principal Angela Dean authored the book "Green by Design: Creating a home for sustainable living" in 2002 as a means of demonstrating the notion that green is not a menu of add-on options, but a design philosophy that integrates aesthetics, budget, function, health, and enjoyment.
