Sustainable design and planning for work, home and play. Healthy, high-performance spaces: energy and resource efficiency balanced with occupant health and welfare are a specialty. Interior Design, master planning, and green building consulting.

Over a decade of experience designing healthy, high performance spaces. LEED, Energy Star and Green Guide for Healthcare projects.

Founder, Kimberly Phipps-Nichol, is a LEED Accredited Professional; FOCUS program teacher (Facility Operator's Certification for Utility Systems) with NV System of Higher Education & NV Energy; GreenGuide for Healthcare and Collaborative for High Performance Schools training; MBA in Sustainability in process; national lecturer and author on green building and sustainability in business.

As the daughter of a pediatric nurse practitioner and a respiratory therapist, I came to the sustainability sector as an occupant health and welfare advocate. Spending a great deal of my childhood on a sailboat informs my environmental passion. Unsatisfied with the "light" green tact of working in corporate America, I started Blue Water Studio in order to more fully practice my health and environment focused design and planning direction. I am honored to be specifically sought out for my expertise. All work comes from referrals, repeat clients and press coverage. Non-profit clients are also a specialty and honor.
