We will also analyze optimal active solar strategies, including PV, solar hot water, wind, and other up and coming energy harvesting strategies.
Experience
Knock Architecture and Design has worked on a wide variety of green residential residential projects, ranging from new construction, additions and renovations in dense urban, suburban and rural areas. Each project is analyzed on a case by case basis from a design forward sustainable approach. Knock Architecture and Design currently has several projects in progress throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, has over 12 years of experience in the green building industry. They offer a full spectrum of architectural, design and green consulting services. In addition, through its Small House Studio, it offers an array of compact, affordable and green houseplans that can be customized to your individual site and requirements.
Qualifications
Ryan Knock, principal of Knock Architecture and Design, is a LEED AP BD+C accredited professional, as well and a CGBP (Certified Green Building Professional). He has attend numerous training seminars and Conferences on Residential Building Performance and Design, including Building Envelope, Mechanical Systems, Interior Air Quality and Non-Toxic Materials, Artificial and Natural Lighting Systems, Natural Ventilation, Passive Solar Energy, and Active Solar Energy, incuding PV and Solar Hot Water.
