We provide energy audits and weatherization services, from air-sealing, all the way to whole-house retrofits and project management services. Using DOE certified instruments we check for the health and safety of combustion appliances first, while applying decades of electrical experience to detect problems in that realm as well. From there we move into pressure testing to determine boundaries between floors, rooms, and ducting. By putting this data into the DOE suggested web modeling program, we complete a detailed summary of projects to be done, including their Return on Investment and projected costs.

Beginning in the 1980's at Indiana Michigan Power (aka. AEP) our Owner has worked to help the general public to interpret their utility bills, moving clients toward an informed approach to their dwelling and lifestyle. Primarily, in the old days, so that crisis may be avoided, we now work with more energy and environmentally aware folks that want to save money AND save the environment . Most recently we have operated as sub-contractor to SEMCO (aka. Northern Indiana Public Svc Co), and the Indiana Builders Association (ARRA funding). On the private side we are actively working on whole house retrofits, and when our services are not the best for our clients, we provide project management assistance in selecting and handling the best in the business.

Green Building instructor at local college, EPA certified in Lead and Mold. Indiana state certified as Energy Auditor and Weatherization Contractor. We adopted 2 stretches of a local creek for the Department of Natural Resources, running adjacent to the University of Notre Dame.

We began as a volunteer organization working for the impoverished with an eye toward reducing homelessness amongst children. As the industry has grown, we moved into a for-profit status to facilitate our core mission: Save Money, Save the Environment. Our owner has been an environmentalist for 40+ years, and also volunteers on a county-wide board providing services to the mentally ill and their caregivers. Our belief is that education and action are the keys we need to implement at the grass roots level, to make this a safer, cleaner and more humane world.
