Architectural Resource, LLC is full-service, award winning, Ann Arbor based architectural design specializing exclusively in residential design of new homes, cottages, additions, remodels, and renovations with an emphasis on Green and sustainable design. Since the firm's inception in 1991, creating healthy and energy efficient buildings has been a fundamental aspect of its core mission.
Experience
Architectural Resource was the architects for Michigan's first, second and third USGBC LEED for Homes® Platinum level certified whole-house remodels, with a fourth, also registered with the certification goal of Platinum, currently under construction. We were also responsible for the design of near net zero passive solar home that is also pending USGBC LEED Platinum certification.
Qualifications
The firm is headed by Michael Klement with the collaboration of several outstanding architects and designers. Michael is a member of the American Institute of Architects, The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, The American Institute of Building Design, is a Certified Professional Building Designer through the National Council of Building Designers, and holds Certified Aging in Place Specialist and Certified Green Professional designations through the NAHB.
Architectural Resource's mission statement, since its founding, lists four core guiding principles including: "To endeavor to incorporate products, materials, and construction methods which provide for healthful and energy conserving living environments." We are as true to that mission now as we were in 1991when it was first penned, only we are much, much better at it now!
