What my company brings to the table is the ability to use the latest green technologies in tile installation. One of the products that we use is Schluter. Schluter incorporates recycled materials into their manufacturing and strive to recycle scrap materials back into their production process to divert materials from the waste stream.

In addition to Schluter, we always use products with low VOC content and low urea formaldehyde. During the installation process we use the minimuim amount of water required to complete the project and follow the proper processes for contaminated water and dust disposal.

The greatest opportunities for greening a bathroom remodel come from managing water, but in two very different ways: managing incoming use (in pipes) and outgoing flows ( both liquid and vapor ). Green bathrooms need the highest performing faucets, shower heads, and toilets. But they also need walls designed and constructed to handle both liquid water and high humidity, and exhaust fans that efficiently and quietly move water vapor out of the space. The bathroom is also a good place to invest in durable surfaces, ones that stand the test of time both aesthetically and functionally.

I have over 10 years experience in the construction industry across residential and commerical projects. As a project manager for Structuretone West, I managed a LEED Silver project in Georgetown Texas for a Citigroup storage bunker.
