Qualifications
Principal and Founder Katy Hollbacher, P.E., is a licensed Civil Engineer, Certified Passive House Consultant, LEED AP, Certified GreenPoint Rater, and Certified Energy Plans Examiner with twelve years experience in the architecture/engineering/construction and green building industries. She is currently involved in various Passive House projects, which can achieve space heating and cooling savings up to 90% compared to conventionally designed projects. Beyond Efficiency takes a whole-systems, integrated approach to design and engineering challenges. Building projects typically proceed in a linear fashion and lack adequate collaboration with other parties on the design—often resulting in change orders, budget overruns, resource and energy waste, and dissatisfied clients. Beyond Efficiency will help integrate effective communication throughout all phases of your project to help ensure that social, environmental, and economic goals are achieved.
