Studio Upwall focuses on residential architecture, with extensive experience in both single-family and multi-family housing. With offices located in San Francisco and the Washington DC Metropolitan Area, we are experienced in the design and implementation of residential remodels & additions including competence in local code constraints.

Sustainability is both a goal and practice in every project that we undertake -- whether integrating green building products, efficient energy systems, or passive solar design. Our design for a dive resort on an atoll located 22 miles off the mainland in Belize required all buildings to be self sustaining. The cabanas, restaurant, dive shop and staff quarters include PV solar panels with battery banks to supply and store power, rain water collection, and natural cooling through convection from the water below the buildings.

With over 15 years of experience in the field, Greg Upwall is a licensed architect in Utah, California, and the District of Columbia, and is a LEED AP, Green Point Rater, Certified Passive House Consultant, and is the Principal at Studio Upwall.
