Award-winning architectural & consulting firm with over 35 years experience pioneering environmentally responsible, green architecture. Widely published and nationally recognized specialists in Design for Passive Sustainability, healthy green homes, climate-based passive design, high-performance wood frame, SIP's, and alternative construction systems including high mass concrete systems of several kinds, AAC, straw bale, etc.

Their pioneering design concepts and practices for Passive Sustainability (also known as passive survivability) provide their building owners and occupants the ability to naturally maintain relatively comfortable living conditions during times when power or water may not be available from on-site or off-site sources.

In the 1970's, the firm's founder, LaVerne Williams, became an advisor to both the Governor's & the Texas Energy Advisory Councils; a founder of both the Houston & the Texas Solar Energy Societies; and in 2005, was recognized by the Citizens League for Environmental Action Now as a "Houston Hero" for the Environment, locally and nationally. He also has actual broad construction experience in institutional, commercial, industrial, residential & manufactured housing.

In 1993, the firm was awarded the coveted Hershey Conservation Award and the Houston Audubon Society's Egret Award.
