e2 Homes is a residential construction firm in Central Florida that specializes in environmentally responsible and cost-effective building solutions. We provide a wide array of construction services relating to custom home building, remodeling, and green building.

Experience

Rob Smith, our founder, has years of experience building high-end custom homes in central Florida. His personal home, called the Evergreen, is an example of his quality construction, attention to detail, and green building. The Evergreen is the first LEED-Gold Certified home in central Florida and showcases the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of building green. The home was also the 2009 LEED-H Project of the Year from the US Green Building Council Central Florida Chapter. Rob also was awarded the 2012 LEED-H Project of the Year for a Net-Zero energy home constructed in Winter Park.

Qualifications

Rob Smith is a state licensed Certified Residential Contractor and attended the University of Pennsylvania for his B.S. in Economics and Masters of Environmental Studies. Rob is the first LEED Accredited Professional in the central Florida area with the LEED AP for Homes designation.

We have built homes under the USGBC Leed for Homes, Florida Green Building Coalition, and US EPA EnergyStar green building programs.

e2 Homes' goal is to provide businesses and individuals with environmentally responsible and cost-effective solutions for any of their building challenges.

We have experience utilizing the following green building techniques: spray-foam insulation, solar and tankless water heaters, drought tolerant and green irrigation design, high performance HVAC and improved air quality, use of recycled and reclaimed materials, waste diversion/recycling, and more!
