What kind of light bulbs can I use in a bathroom that would not emit as much heat?

Assuming you have a vent fan in your bathroom, I would recommend screw in LED bulbs.

  • They don't get hot and use about 1/4 the power of a CFL.
  • And LEDs do not contain Mercury, which is a heavy metal found in CFL's that is toxic if broken.

You can buy LED bulbs in most hardware and supply stores. They are more expensive than CFLs but will last 15 to 20 years.
