Question
We want to know more about geothermal systems and what they cost. We already have a solar water heating system installed.
We live in AZ in Prescott Valley, elevation 5100 feet. Our home is 6 years old. We have air conditioning and gas furnace heating.
Answer
Geothermal is very expensive.
Perhaps you can find an experienced BPI-certified energy auditor with an HVAC background who can recommend upgrades to your home's envelope and mechanical systems to provide cost-effective energy efficiency solutions with your current systems.
Make sure to look into all the available rebates, federal and local utility.
