We need to replace our boiler. Should we go to gas or stick with oil?

We have had a few estimates, but we feel the contractors are all biased to what they work with (oil or gas). We already have natural gas in our home, but want to know which is cheaper and more efficient in the long term.

Natural gas is the better way to go for sure.

  • Fuel oil is more expensive by a bunch.
  • Natural gas burns cleaner and is better in terms of carbon footprint.
