Is there a way to clean between double-glass window panes?

Asked by Jerry Evans

We had someone use a pressure washer to clean off old paint on our house. Later, we noticed that a pane on one of our windows appears frosted between the two panes. We are an elderly couple on a fixed income. We really can't afford to get new windows. We realize that we would lose whatever kind of gas was between the panes, but that probably escaped long ago.

If you have frost between your panes of glass, that means the seal has failed. This may not be due to the pressure washing but due to faulty seals.

You should contact the window manufacturer and inform them of the problem. They may replace the panes at no cost.

Request, if possible, to have silicon on four sides for a better seal.
