VOCs are a great concern to many of our clients today, and many consumers find it very difficult to navigate the claims of paint and stain manufacturers.
The following websites of testing institutes might help you find the right nontoxic finish product available in your area.
- Greenguard tests many different products. Click here to see a list of stains and transparent finishes they have certified as safe for indoor air quality.
- Green Seal has a list of products available, as well, and an informative report titled “Choose Green Report – Wood Finishes and Stains.”
