I'm told I have a cupping problem with the new wood floor I had installed a year ago.

Wood floor cupping is not necessarily an outcome from moisture in a crawl space but could be a combination of items.

You should investigate these possible causes:

  • Relative humidity in the home;
  • Grade and species of wood floor;
  • Moisture content of wood floor;
  • Improper installation and fastening;
  • Possible water infiltration.
