I hear there are heat-insulating paints that contain tiny ceramic balls. How effective are they?
Answer
I have heard many claims from the manufacturers, but I don't believe any of them because they have not been independently verified by a testing lab like ASTM. At best, the ceramic paints will provide a minimal radiant barrier. I recommend that you save your money and use real insulation instead.
