Does Spanish Clay tile roof qualify for a tax credit? I saw that metal and some asphalt roofs qualify for the $2,000 tax incentive.

1938 home and repaired the roof - tiles were cracked or scaling. replaced portions of the roof by removing tiles and laying waterproof underlayment

Roofs installed prior to December 31, 2011 are eligable for tax credits if they are metal or asphalt shingle energy star approved.

Clay tile roofs are not eligible.
